Seydou "Sidiki" Conde - djembe master
Seydou "Sidiki" Conde was born in Guinea. He was a veteran of Ballet Djoliba National and the Senegalese Ballets de la Foret Sacree. While touring he relocated to Paris, joining the Ballets de l'Afrique Noir (with whom he recorded a CD) and teaching percussion and dance workshops. Sidiki was one of the first Guinean djembefolas to arrive in France. He died on 4 May 2003 leaving a wife and 3 children.
